London: Sajid Javid, son of a Pakistani British couple, is one of the ten candidates officially in line vying to succeed Theresa May as Britain’s next Prime Minister.
The country is set to get a new prime minister, but only members of the Conservative Party have a say in who will next lead the country.
The Conservatives will hold an election to replace PM May, who resigned as party leader last week after failing to deliver Brexit on the original timetable. Under the latest extension agreed with the European Union, Britain is slated to leave the bloc on October 31.
