London: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to stay with Kate Middleton and Prince William over Christmas, it has been reported. The Sussexes will sleep over at Anmer Hall – just like they did last year – when all the royals head to Sandringham over the festival period.
They will reportedly use the hall as their base, and travel two miles to Sandringham for Christmas lunch with the Queen.
An insider told the Telegraph that Meghan and Harry enjoyed spending “quality time” with Princess Charlotte and Prince George last year.
More time spent with them this Christmas will prepare Meghan and Harry for the arrival of their first baby in March or April.
A source told the Telegraph: “Harry and Meghan really enjoyed staying at Anmer Hall last year, especially spending quality time with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
“There’s no reason why they won’t want to do the same this year, especially as Meghan is going to be heavily pregnant.
It’s the best of both worlds in that they can take part in all the festivities at the big house, while retreating into their own space when needed.
“There would be total astonishment if Harry and Meghan don’t stay with William and Kate.”
The news comes amid speculation of a rift between Meghan and Kate after it was announced the former actress and Harry are moving out.
They will move from their Kensington Palace home, next to Kate and Wills, to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Castle estate.
It is claimed the move is partly down to “tension” between Meghan and Kate which has reportedly caused problems for Harry and Wills.
The string of allegations include Meghan allegedly making Kate cry and emailing staff at 5am.
Meghan also reportedly even complained about the smell of St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle where she and Harry got married.
