Lahore: A six-member board of doctors from the Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) in Lahore has examined Mian Nawaz Sharif. He was shifted to the Services Hospital from the Kot Lakhpat Jail yesterday.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) supporters have set a “Quran Khawani” camp outside the hospital to offer special prayers for rehabilitation of Sharif.
Surgeon Professor Dr Mahmood Ayaz, medicine specialist Dr Kamran Cheema and Dr Sajid Nisar are included in the medical board. Chairman board Dr Mahmood Ayaz maintained that a cardiologist will be called if needed. Blood and sugar test of the former premier were held.
A docotor has also been called for ECG. The board has decided to consult the personal physician of Sharif. Earlier, Punjab’s interior ministry issued directives to shift him from the Kot Lakhpat Jail to the hospital and he is expected to stay there until his medical tests and examination is concluded.
